What You Should Be Doing While Waiting For Your Marketing Deal to Start

While you're waiting for the launch of your Marketing Deal, and for access to the Citizen-exclusive articles, you can start preparing yourself for your GO LIVE.

To begin, please ensure your internal marketing team (if you have one), is aware of the Marketing Deal and what we want you to do below. Show them Your Marketing Deal information >> ( Foundation || Growth || Elite ) and help them know what to expect from us. 


Be sure to talk with your team about who will be responsible for different things during the campaign:

Here's what you can do RIGHT NOW to get Campaign-Ready:

  1. Pull together all your existing marketing materials and branded content, ready for us when we need them.
  2. Look at your website and social media accounts with new eyes. Make sure the content is conducive to attracting more potential fans, advocates, and customers... whatever is your goal.
  3. If you have a complex approval process for marketing decisions, please get the team on board so that your Marketing Deal won't stall when we need to push your promotions.
  4. Think about how you want the world to perceive your brand; and ensure you have your lead pages and promotional pages ready for us to promote. Lead pages will do better than corporate pages where it isn't clear to the visitor what you want them to do. If appropriate have this page also help with your list-building efforts.
  5. Check your contact us pages and web forms, ensuring that they do what you think they should, and on your website clean up anything that doesn't seem to be consistent with the brand direction you're moving in. If necessary update your privacy policy, terms & conditions, and ensure you're GDPR compliant.
  6. Google yourself and your brand. Go beyond pages 2 & 3 of Google and other Search Engines. See what people are saying about you and make sure you clean up any old and irrelevant pages from your website. Use an incognito browser to be able to see your results without Google curating them based on prior searches.
  7. Get your reviews together (if you haven't already), get images ready of the most flattering ones, and make sure your reviews/testimonials are searchable on Google so you're findable and have good social-proof.
  8. Remember your Marketing Deal is laser-focused on our promoting one company/brand/product. If you have multiple brands/products/services that you want to promote; we cannot manage them all in this one Marketing Deal. So be decisive about what you want to promote and stick with it. If you want to promote something else, we'll give you a discount on your next marketing deal.
  9. Your Marketing Deal will be as efficiently delivered as you allow it to be. We need things from you in a timely manner - if you cause delays, it'll affect the momentum achieved in the overall campaign. So help us stay on task by giving us what we need within the times requested.
  10. Remember we'll be juggling many balls at any time you could have as many as 15 members of our marketing team working on your Marketing Deal. If you have queries on specific topics or deliveries please make that clear on the specific message we send you so the correct team can immediately address your questions and resolve them.
