Why has 'Payoneer' put my payment on "hold"? They emailed to ask me to verify my payment


Important Notes:
  1. Do not ignore this, it needs your action ASAP
  2. Once your verification has been fully cleared, Promo Nation will be notified and we can start your onboarding for your Marketing Deal. This is an automatic process. We cannot start the onboarding until the payment has been cleared.
  3. If you do not respond to the verification requests, your funds will be returned to your account after 7-10 days, your payment to Promo Nation will be rejected, and you will have to complete a new activation form for a new payment request to be sent to you. There is a risk that the Marketing Deal price may increase at this time.


Why has this happened?

For some payments (and non-US countries) our credit card merchant may ask you to verify your card as a security measure. Payoneer is a major processor of business payments. Like Paypal or Stripe, they will try to verify a payment's authenticity before processing it fully. 

It may seem inconvenient, but it is ultimately a way to protect you and your money, and it protects Promo Nation from working with bad actors.

Ultimately, it is simply a security measure to ensure you're a real person, and that you don't have a card number without possession of the physical card. This stops any fraud attempts.



How to Verify Your Payment

Payoneer will ask you for the following to verify your payment:
  1. Card Photo
  2. ID Verification
  3. Phone Verification

  1. Card Photo

When making the payment you already provided your card information. We know this can feel a bit convoluted, but the merchant is trying to ensure your transaction is safe, will ask you to take a photo of the card. This proves you actually have possession of it and are not just using a card number. It absolutely ensures that whoever is making this payment has the bank card and it limits the likelihood of fraudulent purchases.



You need to simply use your cell phone, take a photograph of the card, and submit it on their secure encrypted verification page.

The photo will be used to verify your payment only.
You already provided your bank card when you tried to pay the invoice, so seeing your card photograph is nothing more than you had previously entered in the site.
Please do not send Promo Nation a copy of this card. We don't need it! Do not email it to anyone!!

Submit the photo on the secure site with the Merchant, and you will see a green tick to say it has been accepted.

Make sure the numbers are visible on the card, and the picture is good quality and not blurry at all.

  1. ID Verification

Next, they will ask you to verify your identity (which should be the same as that on the payment card). You can use any kind of government ID to do this.
Is it inconvenient? Sure, but you're tough, and this isn't going to stop you from growing your business. Right?

Whether a driver's license, passport, or other official ID.

This will be securely processed for the purpose of verifying you and setting up your Payoneer account. (like you would with Paypal, Stripe, or any other payment platform).

Again, make sure the photo you take is good quality, and not blurry at all, and that light is not reflecting off it making any part of it unreadable.

  1. Phone Verification

Finally, they will send you a phone code to verify your cell phone number.  Follow those instructions and you will have verified your payment.

After verification, you will be logged onto your Payoneer dashboard where any further requests will appear. Keep a keen eye on your email for confirmation that your payment and verification has fully cleared.

Didn't get the code? Give it up to 10 minutes to receive the code.
Contact them via Payoneer Live Chat to ask them to resend it if you haven't received it within 30 minutes.
